Panda Sportswear not only manufactures cycle and other sportswear, but is committed to encouraging and helping cyclists who need sponsorship in order to race. We want to promote cycling and in particular to develop youngsters in the sport. We currently have 3 Panda teams: the Juniors, the Under 23's and the Veteran team. Juniors are individuals who have been selected because they had no sponsorship but have shown potential in their races.

2002 Sponsorships

We have been involved in sponsoring the Finishline Junior Cycling Team for the past five years. This is a six man team and many young riders have achieved Springbok colours and gone on to join the professional ranks.

We also sponsor Timberland Junior Cycling Team, who have been doing extremely well this year in all their national cycling events.

We put sponsorships together by supplying the clothing, and sourcing and coordinating sponsorships for all the other elements needed for team racing, such as bikes, transport for races, entrance fees, accommodation, etc.

We now have a Panda cycling club called Gruppo Sportivo Panda. Members enjoy riding socially together and in races under the Panda banner. The club operates in the south of Johannesburg. To read Club news, click on Panda Club news.
